Kentucky Chamber – We are Kentucky’s premier business association.

Founded in 1946 as a voice for business in the political arena, today the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce is the largest, broad-based business association in the state. The Chamber represents more than 7,000 businesses (or more than 50 percent of the private workforce) through its membership and more than 12,000 business professionals through our Affiliates program, a growing grassroots advocacy network of local chamber members. The Chamber’s board of directors is made up of more than 60 of Kentucky’s top business leaders. Read our mission.

Advocacy – Protecting Kentucky business is our core business.

Legislation being made at the state Capitol can have a major impact on Kentucky’s business climate. The Kentucky Chamber is known for its strong track record in Frankfort. We’ve played a key role in successful legislation on workers’ compensation, unemployment insurance, the intangibles tax and education reform – all issues that can substantially impact bottom lines and the quality of life in Kentucky.

New issues arise everyday. Our experienced legislative team is well known in the halls of the Capitol. They are not only excellent sharp shooters who can defeat potentially negative legislation, but they also craft policy through active involvement on major task forces, coalitions and committees.

Business Tools – We offer a complete package of benefits and services

In addition, we provide thousands of members with services that help businesses grow and thrive. These services are wide ranging and ever changing to meet Kentucky's complex business needs, but they can be classified under three broad categories:

  • Affordable employee benefit programs, such as payroll outsourcing, group health and unemployment insurance, as well as a package of voluntary insurance products.
  • Timely news and relevant information through newsletters published regularly and issue alerts sent when Kentucky’s General Assembly is in session.
  • Educational seminars presented by industry experts and topical publications covering issues important to business.
